We're building the university alternative
for cloud engineering.
CloudPath Academy was built on a simple observation: the cloud industry has a massive talent gap, a CS degree is not required to fill it, and the existing training options are either too shallow (certification video courses) or too expensive (bootcamps) to actually get people hired.
We built something different — a platform that combines real enterprise simulation, AI-powered personalized learning, and practical AWS labs to take someone from zero to hired cloud engineer in under a year.
Behind CloudPath
A passionate cloud engineer
Building the training platform I wish existed when I was breaking in.
I'm a working cloud engineer who learned this craft the long way — reading docs, breaking labs, shipping side projects, and pestering smarter people on Slack.
CloudPath is what I would have wanted starting out: a clear path, real labs, and someone (or something) to ask when you're stuck.
We're early. The curriculum will get sharper, the AI tutor will get smarter, and the community will grow. If you're here, you're building this with us.
“Cloud engineering changed my career. I'm building CloudPath so the path is shorter, cheaper, and clearer for the next person — whether you're switching careers, leveling up from IT, or starting from zero.”
Built by a cloud engineer
CloudPath is built by a working cloud engineer who learned this stuff the hard way — through documentation, side projects, broken Terraform, and a lot of late nights. Every lesson reflects what actually mattered on the job.
Built around the path I wish I had
Most courses teach you services. CloudPath teaches you the path: how to think about infrastructure, how to debug like an engineer, how to talk to a hiring manager. Skills, in the order you'll actually need them.
Built with AI, on purpose
Ask Atlas — the AI tutor — is here so you never get stuck alone at 2am. It's built on Claude, the same model that powers our content. Not a gimmick: it's how we scale real mentorship to every student.
Why we built this
Cloud engineering is one of the highest-paying entry-level careers available in tech — and unlike software engineering, it doesn't require years of computer science theory to break into. A junior cloud engineer needs to understand how to deploy infrastructure, automate pipelines, and work on a team. These are learnable skills. Fast.
The problem was the existing training landscape. Certification video courses (like A Cloud Guru or Pluralsight) teach you the theory but don't give you hands-on experience that hiring managers actually care about. Traditional bootcamps cost $10,000-$17,000 and still don't simulate what it's actually like to work on a cloud engineering team.
We built CloudPath Academy to close that gap. Our Enterprise Experience is the centerpiece: a 12-week simulation of a real cloud engineering job, where students work in teams, run sprints, respond to incidents, and deploy production-grade AWS infrastructure. When they finish, they have real stories to tell in interviews.
We power everything with Claude — Anthropic's AI — for the tutor, quiz generation, interview practice, and adaptive learning. This lets us deliver the kind of personalized mentoring that used to require a dedicated instructor. Ask Atlas isn't a generic chatbot — it's grounded in our curriculum and the way real cloud engineers actually think through problems on the job.
What we believe
Outcomes, Not Hours
We measure success by one thing: did you get hired? Every feature, every lesson, every lab is designed to move you closer to a cloud engineering job — not to inflate our "hours of content" number.
Real Team Experience
Cloud engineering is a team sport. That's why our Enterprise Experience puts you in a real team with sprints, standups, code reviews, and cross-team incidents. You leave with stories to tell, not just certificates to show.
AI-Powered, Human-Centered
Ask Atlas is available at 3am when you're stuck on a Terraform error. Our community is there when you need a human. We use AI to scale the support that used to require a full instructor team.
Accessible by Design
A cloud engineering career should be accessible to anyone willing to work for it — regardless of their starting point, location, or financial situation. We keep costs lower than bootcamps for exactly this reason.
